In many Vachanamruts such as Gadhada First 18 and Gadhada Middle 2, Swaminarayan Bhagwan has presented that while there is a tendency to blame the mind when something goes wrong, if the senses are kept in check, the mind automatically remains in control. Further, Swaminarayan Bhagwan explained that the input of the eendriyaas or senses depends on vishayas (objects that cater to the appetites of the senses) or the outside environment. This, then, is the major culprit for the majority of problems. Swaminarayan Bhagwan has suggested that by purifying external ingredients and staying in a pure atmosphere, the senses and the mind will soon come under control.
