Friday Meeting

In response to a question, Dinkar Uncle explained that arguments arise not when one thinks, "I am right," but when he also think, "The other person is wrong!" Further, as long as there is a mind, the possiblity of conflict will remain. This is because the mind functions in dualities. It distinguishes between hot and cold, large and small, and similarly, right and wrong.

The first step is to take a step back and introspect. One must put himself in the other person's shoes - i.e., consider the other person's point of view. Also, if we want to win someone's heart, we must first learn to give love and respect. Finally, a devotee understands that God is the all-doer, and sees God's working in all.
