In Swami Ni Vato 9/279, Gunatitanand Swami explains, "By the darshana of this Saint [Gunatitanand Swami], the five great sins are eradicated - that is His glory." Once, Shivanand Swami went to the Girnar Mountain along with Gunatitanand Swami to cut wood. Shivanand Swami was very thirsty, but as an aatmanivedee, he could not drink water without first offering it to his charanaraja (or at the feet of his personal moorti of God), which he had forgotten to bring along. At the time, Gunatitanand Swami put his foot in a stream, and told Shivanand Swami that he could drink the water as it was as holy as the Ganges River. As Shivanand Swami had faith in Gunatitanand Swami's word, he drank the water. But other saints that accompanied Shivanand Swami complained of this incident to Lord Swaminarayan. Lord Swaminarayan responded, "[The water is equal to] millions of Ganges Rivers and millions of charanarajas [are equal to Gunatitanand Swami's feet]. Because at the feet of this Saint [Gunatitanand Swami] rests all of the pilgrimage places."
